Copp in the News: New VP named at prominent Dayton company

Copp Integrated Systems has named David Markham as vice president of sales to support global growth initiatives, the company announced. Among the initiatives he will lead will be the Footprint Situational Awareness Software, something the company has been involved in developing with University of Dayton Research Institute and the late Larrell Walters.

“After licensing Footprint from the University of Dayton Research Institute, Copp was quickly immersed within the global market,” said Bill DeFries, CEO and owner of Copp. “Markham’s proven success will lead Copp’s National and Global growth strategies.”

 

That technology is thought to be a game changer for law enforcement to fight crime by giving officers on the ground a whole new level of situational awareness. Copp has newly licensed Footprint from UDRI.

Markham has worked in executive roles at Standard Register, LexisNexis, IBM and Siemens Business Services, and specializes in sales strategy planning and operations, as well as large-scale deals in systems integration products, the company said.
